How to Measure a Bottle for Pump Compatibility

Prepare information from the actual bottle you intend to use. A useful review combines photos, the connection specification, dimensions, required dosage and application. This checklist helps organize that information; it is not an engineering drawing or a guaranteed-fit specification.

Prepare These Bottle Details

Bottle Photo

Provide a clear overall view and close-ups of the neck, opening and existing closure where available. Identify the bottle model in the file name or brief. Images help show the design, but do not use a photograph alone to infer a precise dimension.

Neck / Connection

Send the bottle supplier's neck or connection drawing if available. Record the full designation for a threaded connection. For a snap-on design, record its connection information separately; do not convert a range into a threaded neck code. See the Bottle Neck & Connection Guide if the type is uncertain.

Bottle Height

Record the overall height with the unit and identify where the measurement was taken. Add internal dimensions or a section drawing when available. Overall height and usable internal space are not the same measurement, so do not substitute one for the other without review.

Bottle Capacity

State the capacity separately from the dimensions. The current PET range includes a 750 ml 1001B-28/410 bottle and a 1000 ml 1001B-KK bottle. The former is threaded 28/410; the latter is snap-on 26–33 mm. Capacity does not establish connection or assembly fit.

Required Dosage

State the desired ml per complete stroke and any pump model already under consideration. The Pump Dosage Guide separates the confirmed model configurations from performance questions that need evaluation.

Application

Describe what will be dispensed and how the assembly will be used. Include relevant operating or documentation requirements as questions to review rather than assuming the bottle material or model name establishes suitability.

Dip Tube Length

If an existing or required dip-tube dimension is available, provide its unit and reference points or a drawing. If not, identify it as open for review. Do not calculate a required length from capacity or cut a tube based solely on this general checklist.

Connection information alone does not confirm complete fit.

Use the same units consistently and identify the drawing version. If a dimension is missing, say which information is not available in the inquiry instead of supplying an estimate as a confirmed value. Generic product photos and the site's illustration do not replace the actual bottle drawing.

Check that the proposed bottle, pump model and dosage match the information in the brief. List the connection, fit, dip-tube and dispensing questions you want reviewed. Agree the sample scope and arrangements with the sales team before assuming that the evaluated configuration is the same as a future order.

A shared model name or connection number does not establish a documented fit. Use How to Choose a Syrup Pump for the selection decision once the bottle information has been assembled. For supply terms, add the proposed quantity and destination and Request a Quote. You can also browse the Syrup Pump range and PET Syrup Bottles as separate product categories.
